Q. I have Windows 10. Do I need Office 10 too?

A. No, Windows is just like the dashboard of a car. Office is just one of many programs, and is just like the cargo in the same car. You can have a really old version of Windows and a new version of Office, or vice-versa.

Q. My 5 year old laptop is running slow. Does this mean I need a new laptop?

A. Not at all. Most of the time it's just the operating system that's running slowly. Deleting old unused data and reorganising the files can make it quicker. Sometimes a reinstall of the operating system is recommended.

Q. I've cracked the screen on my laptop, can it be repaired?

A. Yes and no. The reality of this is that supply of reliable replacement screens is very difficult. The actual replacement is very easy, typically taking no more than 20 minutes. The problem is the quality of the new screen might not match the original, sometimes not working correctly, stopping working after a short period of time, or sometimes not working at all.

Q. My laptop is broken. Do I have to bring it to you?

A. Not at all. Collection is preferable. We can also work on site, depending on what needs doing.
